Quarterlife

I'm watching this show on NBC. I think it's the series premier on network tv. Apparently the show was first aired as a web series on MyspaceTV and Quarterlife.com.

Anyway, the show is about a group of mid 20's (get it Quarterlife). Anyway, I don't care to go too much into the details of the show (well also I'm only 9 minutes in at this point), suffice it to say that I'm tired of my generation being portrayed as underachieving, unsure of themselves, and jaded. But this is a show from the creators of My So Called Life so what do you expect really.

I don't know, maybe I'm out of touch with my generation. Actually now that I think about it, I know a lot of twenty-somethings that probably feel that way. Those are the people that I only talk to when I see them at bars though. That is before I leave early because I have a meeting, or training, or an appointment with a client the next day. Oh well. These are just some thoughts. The show isn't terrible. But where is the show that depicts how I feel and how my close friends and I are living? I need to make it!

Last night I spent a lot of time on this site that was linked from one of my favorite blogs. I literally spent hours watching and reading things on the site. So without further ado here it is.
Prepare to laugh yourself to death.

In other news everyone I work with decided to grow a beard this winter. And they're all quite successful at it. I can never grow a proper beard. I don't have the patience. I can though grow an amazing mustache so that is what I did. But that is tedious, and takes a lot of maintenance. So I have decided to grow a beard. But this isn't a full face beard. It starts about a half an inch forward of the jawline and then grows under my chin. Ta daa! I'm about two weeks in and it's starting to need a good combing. I'm not sure how long I will hold out.

Today was my day off. I get one a week. For months I had 2 days off a week. This sucks. Today I slept until 12 noon. Woke up, checked some blogs, Watched Oceans 11, went to the DMV to get my driving record, went to an ATM, went to my lawyers office to give him my driving record and the money from the ATM. In November I got a reckless driving ticket. In my '90 Mazda Miata. I have since sold the Miata, and now drive an '04 Audi TT. It's significantly faster. The Miata had 120hp and the Audi has 225. So yeah a bit faster. But the Audi has cruise control, so I think I'll be ok. My driving record has a lot of stuff on it. But my license is still at 0 points. Because everything on it is bullshit! So what I didn't have insurance, and a suspended license, and the front plate was in an improper location, and I didn't have an inspection! Come on! Give a guy a break. Haha, those are all from my wild and unsettled days though. The days that would have made great fodder for the writers of Quarterlife actually.

So back to my only day off. I was supposed to do laundry. But I didn't. I did nap though, and try to watch another movie.

Well I feel like I have sufficiently bored and prospective reader with the mundane details of my life. So I am going to go do something else mundane.
