Instead we choose to reside in the corners of our minds
Boston trip was..an experience. Had a lot of fun hanging out with my friends. Half of whom were from Richmond actually. Lots of fun walking around drinking cheap booze out of paper bags, and inside cabs. It was awesome to finally get to see Johnny's store on Newbury Street. I think it's a bit peculiar that Newbury is pronounced New-Berry and Burberry is pronounced Bur-Bury. And there is a Burberry store on Newbury Street.
Saw a lot of nice cars as well. A few TT's, a bunch of AMG Mercs, Rovers of course, a Maserati, also got to see a blacked out Audi S4. It sounded so gnarly. Just pissed off to all hell. The engine was an angry grizzly bear. If it could talk it would have been saying "Aghhhh I'm fucking pissed off! Get me out of here!".
Traveling was fun. I walked around a lot, which I enjoyed. Took the subway a lot which I didn't enjoy so much, but was fun nonetheless. After a few days I started getting used to it, and figuring it out. I also realized a couple of key facts for my next trip. My man bag is a must. I need something large enough to carry a spare hoodie, my Zune, my phone, my ID's and cash, a book or magazine, and whatever else I pick up. Also I need to bring a spare phone in the rare event that I break mine. Which I did.
This trip made me realize a lot of things. Mainly I should probably be seeing a mental health specialist regularly. And I'm not even playing. People that know me well know that I'm very high strung, and I get stressed very easily over seemingly trivial matters. I've tried to deal with it. I just can't. It's difficult. I also kind of hate being in unfamiliar situations. So we combine those factors with alcohol and me fighting with Stephanie and that equals a pretty bad night. It started with me throwing my phone at a fence (then again at the ground), and ended with me crying in Stephs bed and calling my ex from her phone. I have no idea why I did that. But I did. And I think Stephanie is thoroughly over me.
So I've been in this hazy depression ever since that night. Mainly because I lost all of the hundreds of pictures I had taken during my trip. Which I'll likely never get back. Also bummed that I broke a $420 phone. And haven't had my BlackBerry for 5 days. Those of you that know me know how hooked I am. Thankfully I have insurance and I get a new one tomorrow.
Oh shit, also I got suspended from work for 14 days. We have a really nonsensical policy where if you fail to get a shift covered you are suspended for 14 days. The policy actually makes sense. Well it makes sense when you're not extremely short staffed as my work is now. So one of my shifts is a weekday morning shift (10am-4pm) at one of the local malls. It's generally very slow. I work it with another guy. When I was out of town I didn't get someone to cover it. So now I am suspended. It doesn't matter that the guy that worked it said only 3 customers came in that day. They suspended me. And now have to find other people to cover my shifts for two weeks. Which really only makes it harder on the other employees. The worst part is that I came home only to be told I was suspended. I knew it was going to happen and kept trying to get them to tell me before I flew back. But I guess they weren't sure if they were going to suspend me or not until I actually got home. Oh and the best part was they suspended me around 12 noon on Friday. My shift on Friday is 10am-9pm. They had me work my whole shift and start my suspension the next day! Assholes!
Anyway, sorry if this is hard to follow. I'm just thinking and typing. Any questions?
